The Corlett Bolton Research Award

What is the award

As part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, Corlett Bolton is offering a £5,000 grant, to enable a research project to be undertaken within the scope of any of the following areas relating to the Island community.

  • The natural environment of the Isle of Man, including its flora and fauna
  • An environmental issue specific to the Isle of Man e.g. air quality, water quality
  • Manx social history
  • Manx culture
  • Social care / Social problems e.g. homelessness

How to apply for the award

To apply for the grant, please email your expression of interest (containing the below information) to by 30th June 2023 outlining details of the proposed research project, along with preferred contact information including a postal address.

Following this, parties registering their interest will be sent further details including a formal application form.

The applications will also be assessed by our Research Ethics and Governance Committee before a final research project is selected.
