The Corlett Bolton Research Award

What is the award

As part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, Corlett Bolton is offering a £5,000 grant, to enable a research project to be undertaken within the scope of any of the following areas relating to the Island community.

  • The natural environment of the Isle of Man, including its flora and fauna
  • An environmental issue specific to the Isle of Man e.g. air quality, water quality
  • Manx social history
  • Manx culture
  • Social care / Social problems e.g. homelessness

How to apply for the award

To apply for the grant, please email your expression of interest (containing the below information) to researchvannin@ucm.ac.im by 30th June 2023 outlining details of the proposed research project, along with preferred contact information including a postal address.

Following this, parties registering their interest will be sent further details including a formal application form.

The applications will also be assessed by our Research Ethics and Governance Committee before a final research project is selected.
