This course introduces the teachings of humanistic psychologist, Carl Rogers, as they relate to personal growth and psychological well-being. Rogers worked as a psychotherapist over many decades and the lessons derived from his work inform many of the techniques used in modern counselling and many approaches taken within workplace psychology. The course looks at the theory behind being your best self, having rewarding interpersonal relationships, creativity, and the psychology of productive, constructive workplaces. As such, the course provides a very basic foundation for anyone interested in further exploring counselling psychology, occupational psychology (including leadership, workplace dynamics, employee relations, and motivation), and the psychology of creativity.

Note: this course considers theory only and does not teach application of therapeutical or self-help techniques.
