Music has a huge culture on our Island, and I am thrilled to represent it in my role as an Honorary Fellow at UCM. Moreover, I believe that universities are perhaps the most important institutions in our society. They are the one place where art and truth have freedom, uninfluenced by the corporate, commercial and political world. To receive an honour from such a place is to be highly treasured.
