Entry Level 3 Vocational Studies
What is the Course About?
This is a one-year BTEC programme of study offering you the opportunity to develop practical skills and confidence for everyday life, learning, and work. It supports learners to build on their existing knowledge, improve communication and problem-solving skills, and work more independently. The course provides a supportive learning environment and prepares learners for further study, training, or employment.
Will I need a DBS check for this course?
No
Will I need any specific resources, uniform and/or kit?
No requirements, all resources will be provided.
What are the days and hours of the course?
Approximately 16 hours a week. Days and times will vary.
Once an unconditional offer has been received, you will be provided with your timetable during induction in September.
Will I undertake work experience as part of the course?
Learners may have the opportunity to take part in work experience or work-related activities as part of the course, depending on individual needs and availability.

Entry Level 3 Vocational Studies will be assessed through internally assessed assessments and practical activities.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, just the enthusiasm to meet an educational challenge. Students who attend the course have previously attended a Special Unit at one of the Island’s High Schools.
