Course code: Q3101 - £763

What Will I Study?

These qualifications are for people working in or looking to work in internal quality assurance. These qualifications are open to people carrying out quality assurance in most learning environments including FE, Adult Continuing Learning, Employers and the Third Sector. They are designed for anyone carrying out quality assurance in all occupational sectors, accredited learning and non-accredited learning qualifications.

The Level 4 provides routes for learners to understand internal quality assurance in learning and if required to qualify as an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA).

Q3099 is just the knowledge unit and is for anyone interested in knowing more about these areas of work. Learners do not have to be practitioners to achieve these units. However you can progress on to the competence based course (Q3101) when their role allows.

Q3101 includes the knowledge unit as well as the competent based unit where you will be assessed while performing the Quality Assurance role.

What are my progression and career options?

There are opportunities to progress on to teaching qualifications.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment in the knowledge-only unit is by assignment. Assessment of the other units is mainly by observation, portfolio and professional discussion. Assessment can be planned and managed flexibly. Holistic assessment is encouraged.
