Engineering

An OCR Foundation Diploma, BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent), or study at A Level standard in two appropriate subjects with pass grades. Study of Mathematics at A Level is an advantage, equivalent to 32 UCAS points.

Entry requirements can be in any of the following qualifications (or their equivalent):

• A BTEC Level 4 HNC in an Engineering discipline RQF Qualification.

• For those who hold a NQF or QCF HNC Qualification bridging studies be required at level 4.

You will be required to undertake an aptitude test as part of the application process.

Candidates who are school leavers should ideally have 3 GCSE’s at Grade D in Maths, Science and ideally English. Mature candidates will be interviewed and their experience will be assessed. All candidates will be given an initial assessment test.

Successful completion of the City & Guilds 2850 Level 2 Certificate or any relevant qualification. Mature candidates will be interviewed which may include an assessment test, relevant experience will also be taken into account.

4 GCSE Grade C’s in Mathematics, Science, English and one other.
