Art & Design

• A minimum of four GCSEs, at grade C or above (or grades 9-4), at least one of which should be in an Art and Design subject or the equivalent Level 2 qualification in an appropriate subject e.g. Art & Design (BTEC or UAL) with a Level 2 profile at merit and distinction grades.

• Suitable evidence of your learning and achievement, ideally in the form of a portfolio of Digital Media, Art and Design, or Design Technology work, to be presented during your interview.

• A minimum of three GCSEs, grade D or above. You can re-sit English and/or Maths alongside this course if you have a D.

• A portfolio of Art & Design or Design Technology work should be presented during your personal interview, along with either a reference or school report/Record of Achievement.

• Students will be required to present a portfolio of their drawing and design work during their interview, to confirm their interest in the subject.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however:

• It is ideal if you have completed your A-Levels, Diploma or Extended Diploma in Art and Design (Level 3), or related subjects.

• It is recommended that you have a minimum of five GCSEs, grade 4 or grade C and above including Maths and English and one A-Level or equivalent Level 3 qualification, preferably in a creative subject.

• You should provide suitable evidence of your learning and achievement in the form of a portfolio of work, during your interview.

There are no age restrictions for this qualification. However, most of the students taking this qualification are expected to be 18+ years old, as it is most suitable for adult learners.
