Students Support 'Heroes on the Water' Project

The Level 1 landscape and conservation students visited Hero's on the water at Port Soderick to assist with making the entrance from the car park more appealing. The entrance consisted of an overground verge adorned with weeds.

They firstly cleared the weeds and covered the area with weed membrane before then covering the area with three tonnes of stones from the nearby beach. To finish it off they placed alpine planters that were completed the previous week as part of their skills test competition. They plan to revisit after the Easter break to cut back overgrown shrubs to further enhance the entrance in time for Hero's on the Water's event being hosted in early summer.
