Explore Courses at UCM at Open Event

University College Isle of Man (UCM) is holding an open event at the Homefield Road campus on Saturday 10th February 10am – 1pm.

Visitors to the Information Morning event can find out about the wide range of courses available at all levels of study, including UCM’s sixth form and 16+, apprenticeships, degree-level, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and adult learning course.

During the event, prospective students will have chance to meet lecturers, student ambassadors and student services, as well as tour learning environments and study zones. UCM’s application team will be on-hand to support anyone wanting to apply at the event.

UCM’s Principal, Jesamine Kelly said: ‘Our open events are always fantastic opportunities for anyone interested in coming to UCM to find out what we have to offer them. I would always encourage anyone who is looking to further their education, whether they are coming up to finishing their GCSEs, finishing their Alevels and thinking about university, or are a mature student looking to reskill or upskill, to explore all the options available.’

Those attending are welcome to bring family and friends along to tour the campus, explore the range of impressive facilities and get a feel for the study environment. UCM is proud of its ‘realistic working environments’ which are learning spaces that re-create work settings to prepare students for life after education, including: Annie Gill Café, Cristory’s Restaurant, Synnova Hair & Beauty salon, William Kennish Motor Vehicle workshop, and various Construction and Engineering workshops.

UCM holds a number of open events throughout the year, with the Open Evening which was held in November and this Information Morning event covering all subject areas and levels of study.

Since the open event in November, which was also held at the Homefield Road campus, UCM has launched a number of new qualifications and courses which means this is the perfect opportunity for anyone interested in these courses to find out more.
