What's your next step? - Apply Now

Applications for further education at UCM are now open online.

Whether you’re a secondary school pupil sitting your GCSEs or someone looking to upskill, UCM has a wide range of high-quality advanced level courses such as BTECs, Diplomas, City & Guilds, and NVQs which sit at the same level as A-levels.

Jesamine Kelly, UCM’s Principal, commented: “This is a really important time of year for our future students; as well as preparing for their GCSEs, these young adults are looking at their future goals and career paths. We’re fortunate on the Island to have some fantastic high schools, but all pupils should be aware of every option available to them.”

“At UCM, we’re proud to offer such a wide range of academic and vocational subjects. Students in a college environment quickly gain autonomy and independence, and as they are often work-ready when they complete their course at UCM, their progression into a career or higher education is smooth.”

With more than 200 qualified and highly experienced teaching staff, students benefit from real-world knowledge, as well as the theoretical background. UCM’s realistic working environments enable students to get hands on experience in areas such as catering, motor vehicles, childcare and hair & beauty, ensuring students on vocational courses are ready to start working in their chosen industry as soon as they complete their course.

As a university centre, those looking to continue their education to HNC or degree level are supported with their applications at UCM or to institutions further afield, in the UK.

For more information about courses, UCM is holding an open event on Saturday 12th February between 9am – 1pm at their Homefield Road campus in Douglas. Alternatively, students can apply directly at ucm.ac.im.
