What is the Course About?

The Level 4 Pearson BTEC Higher National Certificate in Digital Technologies is designed to provide specialist work-related experience and skills for relevant employment. The Level 4 qualification is a part-time two year course for people working in IT. It is part of the DESC Apprenticeship scheme and therefore employers can apply for support for the course fees. The course is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree programme and students will be required to attend UCM from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm one day a week.

Entry requirements

A BTEC level 3 qualification, or adequate performance in GCE A-level subjects, or relevant working experience. Entrants are expected to attend an interview to confirm the suitability of the course for them. Mature entrants who may be looking to retrain and do not meet these specific entry requirements are still welcome to apply.
