Every year at the Research Festival we host a Dissertation competition, where students who have just completed their dissertation get to showcase their work. This is open to all all Manx Graduates, whether they studied at UCM or off-Island.
The winner will receive a £200 prize.

Entry Deadline: 26th September 2026
Entries are to be in the form of:
- A poster sized A2 Portrait in PDF format (please send your posters to researchvannin@ucm.ac.im by 26th September)
- 20 minute presentation at the Research Festival (please contact researchvannin@ucm.ac.im by 31st July)
- In a short (max 3 minute) video (please email researchvannin@ucm.ac.im by 1st September to confirm entry and provide video by 10th October).
The Research Festival Organising Committee will select the winner, which will be announced at the event. All the entries will be displayed during the Research Festival.
We also may use posters and videos on the UCM website and social media - if you don't want to be included in that, please let us know.
