UCM to Hold Engineering Careers Evening

Are you considering working within the Engineering industry? University College Isle of Man (UCM) is holding an open evening at the Hills Meadow Campus on Wednesday 6th March, 4pm-7pm.

Visitors can meet with experienced staff and current students, whilst exploring the workshops and learning environments.

UCM prides itself on having strong links with local industry, providing students with opportunities to network and utilise apprenticeship and placements throughout their studies.

Industry Representatives from organisations such as Swagelok, Manx Utilities, RLC Ronaldsway, Triumph Actuations Systems, Strix and SUEZ will be attending the event to answer any questions about what it’s like to work within the sector and employment pathways.

John Cashin, Engineering Assistant Programme Manager at UCM said, ‘We are pleased to be holding another open evening at our Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre; this is a great opportunity for prospective students and their family and friends to come along and get a feel for what it’s like to study engineering at UCM. Whether you’re finishing your GCSEs this year, about to complete you’re a-levels or are an adult looking to reskill or upskill, we’d love to see you at this event.

UCM currently offers engineering qualifications from Level 2 through to level 4, as well as adult learning courses, at both the Hills Meadow and William Kennish campuses which have dedicated industry-standard engineering facilities.
