Engineering & Manufacturing Technologies

The programme area offers courses in mechanical/manufacturing engineering, electrical electronic engineering and motor vehicle. Full-time and part-time studies are available with progression from level 1 to level 6.

The Engineering Programme Area is based over two sites, one at William Kennish (close to the UCM main site) and the other at the Advanced Manufacturing Centre at Hills Meadow (in Douglas).  We have experienced and knowledgeable staff, who will support you throughout your progression.

    ENTRY: Grade E or higher in Maths, a Science and English.
    DURATION: 1 year
  • OCR Level 2 Technical in Engineering
    ENTRY: GCSE Grade C in Foundation Mathematics and Science
    DURATION: 1 year
  • City & Guilds 2850 Level 2 Certificate in Engineering
    ENTRY: Grade D in Maths, Science and English

  • OCR Level 3 Technical Diploma in Engineering (Electrical)
    ENTRY: GCSE Grade C's in Maths, Science, English and one other.
